Fimber Bravo with Zongamin
Life After Doomsday

Steel pan maestro Fimber Bravo and eclectic producer-remixer Zongamin have joined forces for one of the most striking singles of the year, 'Life After Doomsday' is released on Moshi Moshi in next month.

Hailing from Trinidad, Fimber Bravo is the most influential exponent of the steel pan in contemporary music. A favourite of Grandmaster Flash, sampled by Soul II Soul and collaborator with Hot Chip, Fimber has called upon a stellar cast of production collaborators for his solo album Con-Fusion, including; Hot Chip, Tom Hopkins, Jonnie Wilkes (Optimo), Zongamin, James Savage and Mickey Moonlight.

As musical director, teacher, percussionist and founder of the 20th-Century Steel band, he produced the seminal "Heaven & Hell"; a hip-hop touch stone name checked and sampled by Grandmaster Flash, Doug E Fresh, Soul II Soul, J-Lo and many more amongst the hip hop fraternity.   Internationally renowned Bravo has also loaned his talents to an astonishing array of artists, from Winifred Atwell right through to Sun Ra Arkestra, Morcheeba, Hot Chip, Zongamin and Mickey Moonlight. He was also a key member of Steel n' Skin, who's music was recently re-issued by EM Records (Japan) and Honest Jons (UK).

This lead single 'Life After Doomsday' is typical of the albums fusion of contemporary production and Fimber’s life affirming music. His solo album will be released on Moshi Moshi Records in January 2013. So in the meantime treat yourselves and enjoy this perfect 'Globetronica-esque' single :)
