Frequent Flyer - Episode 3
In just over 1 hour this mix covers a range of musical styles originating in various regions of the world. Commencing with the ambient stylings of London based producer Ayota, we remember the 1990s through a recent dub of Lamb's 'Gabriel' plus bluesy triphop courtesy of Shawn Lee and DJ Mitsu The Beats. Jazzy Afrobeat sounds are also well represented with epic bands like Rocket Juice & the Moon and the Arya Astrobeat Arkestra. For a fun take on pop the mix features Johannesburg's G'Sparks on the remix tip - adding some african rhythm to Usher's 2012 hit 'Climax.' Nodding a head to classic progressive air-flight mixes of days gone by (such as Oakenfold's Essential Mix live from Buenos Aires), we feature Way out West and a retrofit of the BT classic 'Dreaming' before cooling our jets thanks to the Ghosts of Paraguay.
